英語一日一詞學習手冊分享會

本校英文科團隊聯同香港教育大學特殊教育與輔導學系共同出版《英語一日一詞學習手冊》,致力支援各種有不同特殊學習需要的初中及高小同學。

在過去五星期分別舉行了一次實體的新書發佈會及一次Zoom網上實時直播分享會。講者包括香港教育大學特殊教育與輔導學系客席教授何福全博士,前教育局榮休教育心理學家李淑嫻女士,及超過120位來自全港中、小學界別的同工,當中包括校長、副校長、教育心理學家、英文科科主任、特殊教育需要主任統籌、言語治療師等。

天主教慈幼會伍少梅中學致力成為一所社區學校。作為優質教育基金及香港教育大學合作項目<<照顧初中學生個別差異的閱讀與寫作網絡學習計劃>>的核心學校,我們非常樂意與全港中、小學分享教學資源,希望能讓全港有需要的同學透過《英語一日一詞學習手冊》有所得益。本校英文科團隊會繼續出版一系列符合香港語境的英語學習材料,照顧不同學生的學習多樣性。期望在不久將來與全港同工再次分享教學成果。

The English Team of our school has collaborated with the Department of Special Education and Counseling, The Education University of Hong Kong. We jointly published the "A Word A Day English Vocabulary Booklet". It is dedicated to supporting junior secondary and senior primary students with diverse learning needs.


In the past five weeks, a Face-to-Face Book Launch and a live Zoom Online Sharing Session were successfully held. Our Honourable Guest Speakers included Dr. Ho Fuk-chuen, Adjunct Professor of the Department of Special Education and Counselling, The Education University of Hong Kong, Ms. Li Suk-han, former Emeritus Educational Psychologist of the Education Bureau, and stakeholders from more than 120 secondary and primary schools in Hong Kong, including Principals, Vice-Principals, Educational Psychologists, English Panel Heads, Special Educational Needs Coordinators, and Speech Therapists.


Salesians of Don Bosco Ng Siu Mui Secondary School strives to become a Community School. As the Core School of the Quality Education Fund Thematic Network (QTN) Project: Web-based Learning for Students with Diverse Needs (Reading & Writing) at the Junior Secondary Level, it is to our delight that our ‘A Word A Day English Vocabulary Booklet’ can benefit students with diverse learning needs in Hong Kong. We hope to share our teaching resources to local secondary and primary schools.

The English Team of our school will continue to publish a series of English learning materials of local context to cater for learner differences. We look forward to sharing the teaching resources with different stakeholders again in the near future.
