Future Talent Academy - Global Citizen Series (4):Stepping onto the International Stage IEEE TALE 2025 in Macao

2025 年 12 月，本校五位同學 — 2A 鄺樂然、4C 鄭程宗、5A 何國泓、周靖翹 及 母晨奕帆，代表學校前往澳門理工大學，出席第 14 屆 IEEE TALE 亞太區工程教育旗艦會議。作為全球最大工程科技專業組織 IEEE 所舉辦的年度盛事，這次會議匯聚了全球學者與教育工作者，而我們的學生亦有幸踏上這個國際舞台，展現創新實力。

在首屆 K-12 學生工作坊中，本校團隊與來自香港及亞太地區的其他三間中學同儕交流。同學們圍繞「教育科技應用於社會改善」的主題，展示了他們運用近場通訊技術（NFC）解決真實社會問題的創意科技作品。這不僅是一次技術的展現，更是他們關心社會未來的具體實踐。

會議期間，同學們親身體驗了真實的學術會議氛圍，並與來自全球的工程師、研究人員及教育工作者進行直接對話。這種跨越地域與年齡的交流，極大地拓展了他們的國際視野，讓他們真正做到與國際接軌。

為表揚同學們的傑出表現，譚超羣副校長特別在早會上頒發參與證書予五位同學。「走出課室，才能看見更大的世界。」我們期望這次寶貴的經驗能鼓勵更多同學踏出舒適圈，主動探索，勇於嘗試，以獲獎同學為榜樣，在未來的學習旅程中繼續發光發熱。

In December 2025, five of our students—KONG Lok Yin (2A), CHENG Ching Chung (4C), HO Kwok Wang (5A), CHOW Jacky (5A), and MO SEN Yik Fan King (5A) represented our school at the 14th IEEE TALE (International Conference on Teaching, Assessment, and Learning for Engineering) held at Macao Polytechnic University. As the flagship Asia-Pacific conference organized by IEEE, the world's largest technical professional organization, this event brought together global scholars and educators. Our students were honored to step onto this international stage to showcase their innovative capabilities.

During the inaugural K-12 Student Workshop, our team engaged with peers from three other secondary schools across Hong Kong and the Asia-Pacific region. Under the theme "Youngsters' Concern on the Future: EdTech Application for Societal Betterment," our students presented their creative tech projects that utilize Near-Field Communication (NFC) technology to solve real-world social issues. This was not merely a display of technical skills, but a concrete demonstration of their commitment to the future of our society.

Throughout the conference, our students experienced an authentic academic atmosphere and engaged in direct dialogues with engineers, researchers, and educators from around the globe. This cross-regional and intergenerational exchange significantly broadened their international perspectives, truly connecting them with the global community.

To commend their outstanding performance, Vice Principal Mr. Tam Chiu Kwan presented Certificates of Participation to the five students during the morning assembly. "Only by stepping out of the classroom can we see a bigger world." We hope this invaluable experience will encourage more students to step out of their comfort zones, actively explore, and bravely try new things, taking our award-winning students as role models to shine brightly in their future learning journeys.
