Future Talent Academy - Global Citizen Series (5):

Beyond the Classroom: The UK BETT Show 2026 Study Tour

"The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page." This famous quote by Saint Augustine perfectly summarizes the recent seven-day UK study tour undertaken by our students. Recently, Ocean from Class 2A and George from Class 2B shared their profound experiences from the BETT Show 2026 with the entire school during the morning assembly, leaving both teachers and students deeply inspired.

During this extraordinary journey, our students were not merely spectators, but exhibitors stepping onto the international stage. At the BETT Show, the world's largest education technology exhibition, they conducted a four-hour product launch for visitors from around the globe, showcasing the "iHealth+" App they had developed. From initial nervousness to subsequent excitement, and ultimately to immense pride, this real-world test not only honed their engineering mindset but also significantly boosted their communication confidence.

This study tour was a comprehensive STEM practice. From exploring the evolution of science through fossils at the Natural History Museum to experiencing cutting-edge Apple Intelligence firsthand at the Apple Store, the students profoundly realized that technology is not a threat, but a powerful tool for solving problems. Furthermore, they unlocked various life skills on the streets of London: whether it was navigating the Underground independently, planning itineraries, or managing budgets, these experiences cultivated their independence and problem-solving abilities.

Visiting the world-renowned University of Oxford further broadened their global perspective, leaving them deeply inspired by the academic atmosphere that nurtured legendary figures like Stephen Hawking. We are incredibly proud that Ocean and George could bring these valuable takeaways back to campus and share them with their peers. Their experiences prove that true STEM learning happens in every moment of curiosity, trial, and facing challenges. Let us hope their story will inspire more students to bravely explore the world and discover their own infinite potential.
